There is something incredibly powerful about an image. Images ignite emotions, draw us back into a moment otherwise long forgotten, they make time stand still. I have always loved the ability of a photograph to remind me of each season. From the stunning beauty of a brand new place to the ordinary moments experienced everyday, photography is something I cherish. I love that I get to play a small part in documenting these moments for clients.

Beyond my small obsession with photography, I am an Indiana native and a Hoosier at heart. I grew up spending most of my summer days either in the pool or at the lake with some of my favorite people. Back in 2010, I swapped the lake for the mountains. My husband and I are proud to call South Denver home and love all the mountains have to offer.  From hiking in the summer and snowshoeing and skiing in the winter, Colorado doesn't disappoint. 

My husband and I also enjoy traveling and exploring new places together every chance we get. I got the travel bug with a stay abroad in 2007 and quickly passed it on to my husband in 2013 with our first European trip together. Travel always provides space to slow down and view life and the world from a fresh, new perspective. And lucky for me, it is also a great opportunity to break out the camera and capture the details and essence of each new place. Some of my favorite stops include London, Florence, Amalfi, Iceland, the fjords of Norway, Paris, and Bruges.

My heart and desire for my photography is to capture the emotion and memory of a moment without trying to find perfection. Life is fun and messy and chaotic and I think photographs should reflect this feeling. I love clean and simple edits that will last through the years.
